So interesting. Colors are great. Really a lot for the owner to look at and admire. Like it very much
Thanks Surfside! It was fun and challenging to make.
FYI - the more I look at it, the more I love it. Would love to see closeups of some of the blocks and/or the back. The orange in the blocks really is adorable. Were fabrics from your stash (lucky you) or picked out specifically?
Thanks for your comments Surfside. This quilt really taught me a lot. It was only the third quilt I had made, I think, and I was trying to use a lot of orange because that was the colour the mom wanted for her baby's nursery. The fabrics were from my stash. I struggled a lot with the star blocks, trying to get the points right, and didn't always succeed. Also, I wanted scrappy centres but didn't know what I was doing so did end up with a lot of ripping out and some bumps. But - I learned! I'll post a few other pics of the finished quilt. You'll notice I moved the stars to the back, partly to semi-hide them but also because the quilt was so big for a baby, I decided to make it smaller.
