What was your inspiration?
Cory plays guitar in my husband's band. I wanted to make him a "Rock" cake. This is five layers of a moist cake, chocolate ganache and whipped chocolate ganache. Fun to make and fun to paint the Les Paul guitar in white chocolate.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I wrapped the cake in sheets of chocolate, the easiest way to do that is to slightly warm the sheets with a blow dryer -they become more flexible and easier to manipulate.
