Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Unisex

Style: Holiday, Traditional

Materials

100% Cotton Fabrics. Christmas Colours. YLI thread in the ditch.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make something that represents the Christmas Theme on a more spiritual level.

What are you most proud of?

Completing Two Blocks!!!!!!!! Quilting in the ditch using Yli in bobbin and top.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Learn paper piecing prior to doing this project. Ensure you are accurate with your seam allowance. Patience with the bulk of some of the seams. Wash away (tearaway) paper might be a better product to use rather than the usual tear away. It may also help with reducing the bulk.

Pat if you follow the guidelines when paper piecing getting points is easy! I know you could do. Go to Quilter's cache.com and look for a 12 " paper pieced project to do for fun. It is really very simple once you have got which way paper and fabric should be. Marcia has a paper pieced lesson there too it relatively simple if you follow the instructions. Julieannebell.
