What are you most proud of? I'm not a "quilter" and this was a huge project to tackle for my second quilt project ever. I'm proud for finally finishing it and being able to say that I made it all BY MYSELF. Even the quilting thanks to Ann Petterson's Quilting Course. I am the most proud of how much my son loves it and how special it makes him feel to see his name on the label and know that it was made especially for him.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be patient. This is a long project. Be kind to yourself. No one will notice any of the mistakes. Remember who you are making it for. It's most important that it gets finished. You can see all steps I went through to get this project finished on my blog: http://sewfearless.com/2012/05/07/roads-quilt-finished/

It is awesome! It shows what can be achieved with patience and persistence. I can see why a little boy loves playing with it. :)

My kids would LOVE this! They both love driving little cars on their train table tracks, and this type of quilt would allow them to continue that in their bedroom!

This is so wonderful, Jodi! I've been quilting for a while now, but always struggle with the finishing because I'm not great at stippling randomly. I'm so delighted to see the photo of the back of your quilt, that shows you stitched in the ditch - and it looks great! Very well done :)
