What advice would you give someone starting this project? It's quite a simple tatting pattern, just rings, chains, and joins. So it is a nice project for someone who has just learned to tat.

i am just learning this skill did good but i use needle. can i use needle for shuttle patterns as well.? please respond thank you beautiful works i am looking for patterns jewelry but have not been able to find any. what do you suggest.

My own patterns are written from a shuttle tatting perspective, but many of them would work well for needle tatting too. But if you're just starting out with needle tatting, it would be much easier to use a pattern written specifically for the needle. I would recommend the patterns by TotusMel on Etsy, or the needle tatting books by Barbara Foster at Handy Hands Tatting.

I love all your projects. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I really like this pattern, the double flower celtic, and the tatted teardrop pendant. Are they in any of your books?

The "Ripple" necklace pattern is available free from my Craftsy Pattern Store http://www.craftsy.com/user/570730/pattern-store Directions for the Celtic Double Flower are on my blog http://yarnplayertats.blogspot.com/2013/07/double-flower-using-celtic-shuttle.html the stitch counts are not given, but just vary it to get different effects The "Trendy Teardrop" pendant pattern is in the book "Tatted Jewelry" published by Annie's Attic. It's for sale on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/85065584/shuttle-tatting-pattern-book-tatted?ref=shop_home_feat_1

Thank you so much Marilee. I got the free patterns and ordered the book, a doily pattern and some thread. I can't wait to receive them. I also saw the code for the discount. I hope I do justice to your patterns.
