Hobby Lobby & Caron

What was your inspiration?

I've been making amigurumis for awhile, but was rarely satified with the end product. I took this course in hopes of learning the tips and tricks to creating these lovable creatures.

What are you most proud of?

Completing the course (I really enjoyed it!) and learning how to sew a round part to a square grid and having it look good. I wanted to do the eye ovals differently & did. Not sure I'm happy with the look, but I'm sticking with my decision.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take the course, there are alot of tips you can learn. Stacey's encouragment and go with the flow, don't sweat the small stuff really got me thru the racoon (I goofed up the safety eyes). Speaking of Ringo's eyes, I attached the safety eyes to the eye oval before sewing oval to head, this is not as instructed. I was multi-tasking when I should have been concentrating on the project. When donating to a children's hospital, check to see if they will accept the safety eyes. Mine does but will need to give the toy to an older child.
