What was your inspiration?

I had seen an idea online that caught my attention. It was a ring bearer's pillow using wordle. I had told my future daughter-in-law that I was going to make them the ring bearer's pillow using this idea, but they never gave me the words I had asked them for. So, then I had to come up with something else. I looked online to see what kind of ring bearer's pillow were available. There were so many ideas out there.

What are you most proud of?

I used my mother-in-law's brooch for a decorative effect. My son never got to meet his grand mother. So, I am very happy this came up at just the right time. I was visiting one of my sister-in-laws and I told her what I was trying to make. She showed me some items she had from my mother-in-law, which fit perfectly for what I was doing. She gave me the brooch. I feel my mother-in-law will be with us in spirit celebrating his wedding. This item will be the "something old".

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure you do a practice piece first with the same fabric you will be using.
