What materials did you use? 100% cotton fabrics. Bright colors for babies!

What are you most proud of? How much my grandson loves it and likes to play on it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you pick colorful backing, you can make it into a two-sided quilt.

I may be biased, but that is one lovely quilt (and baby!)

I like this - is this a variation of "strip quilting"?

This isn't strip quilting. It's from the book "Super Simple Squares, Creative Uses for 6 1/2" Squares, by Lynda Milligan and Nancy Smith. I adapted the pattern for the size I wanted.

Love the quilt and the baby! Thanks for sharing! Looks like he loves the quilt, too! What a wonderful heirloom....maybe you could scan the picture to printable fabric and attach it to the back of the quilt. There would never be any doubt years later as to who the quilt was made for...even better would be a picture of Riley, the quiltmaker and the quilt!

That's a good idea to scan a photo of Riley, the quilt, and myself for the back of it.

Riley is a lucky little man. To be so cute and to have such a beautiful quilt made for him.
