What was your inspiration?

If there is one thing that I see every time I pop into a yarn shop or hit up a fiber festival or craft show, it's lots of knitters wearing lots of shawlettes. And it's no wonder! They are one skein projects that are portable and challenging. They are perfect projects to keep with you in your purse and pull out when you've got a spare minute in your day, and they are pretty quick to finish! And styling is never a challenge because you just throw one over your shoulders and add a little handmade to your everyday wardrobe. You can never have too many shawletts! So grab your needles and lets cast one on together.

What are you most proud of?

All the reversible stitch patterns! I hate the wrong side of shawlettes, because the wrong side shows just how you wear it normally. This one has no wrong side, so no constant fidgeting with it to make sure it's laying right on your shoulders.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice the stitch patterns on scrap yarn and needles before getting started. The Cane Lace pattern is tricky, and getting the hang of it before working it for real on your shawlette will help make this a stress free project.
