Here, the Small Round Box has been created from my Tropical Sea shade of velvet, with the Box Lid in velvet too. The Lid could be made from the accent fabric for a bit of contrast.

Hi Mary Jo, I actually had the privilege of meeting you In San Diego this summer for a two day retreat. I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed the class, all of your great products you had for us to purchase if we so desired. Of course I did, I mean WOW what a collection. You are a great instructor and so patient, THANK YOU! The best part was meeting you and for you to share you knowledge. I am so enjoying your online lessons, and then when I purchase a kit, all you include and how it is packaged is wonderful, plus the instructions are easy to understand, especially when I watch the online class also. This is something I have always wanted to learn and at 73 its never too late to learn something new. I started a purse with you in San Diego, what is the material that is behind the pattern to sew onto the purse? Thank you Mary Jo, Andie Swanson

Hi Andie! I so lovely meeting you and your kind words are delightful to hear. I've thought several times about that long drive home you would make. As far as the backing material is concerned, the fabric behind the lace piece was probably a silk dupioni, with the stabilizer being either peltex or timtex. Peltex is not quite as dense as timtex. For the silk ribbon zinnia, that backing is a medium-weight non-woven interfacing. Love and hugs, MJ
