Rhinestone Fascinator

Here's what they look like separately :

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Vintage-Inspired Veils for the Modern Bride »

Instructions

This Bride wanted to be able to use the brooch later without the tulle/feathers, so I simply attached the alligator clip to the back of the clip by sewing through the gaps in the filigree. I then did the tulle & feathers the same as we were told in the course, but instead of attaching it to a flower I finished it with bridal loop like we did with the birdcage veil.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Classic, Romantic, Whimsical, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Rhinestone Brooch, Bridal Illusion Tulle, French Netting, feathers, bridal loop

Thanks! The bride ended up going another direction, but I loved the way it turned out, for sure!

Oh, by the way Dorene, this is the Fascinator I was talking to you about where she requested a feather & rhinestone one (with picture!) and later said that she wanted mostly tulle.

Nice job thinking outside the flower:) Love the broach, is this a new find or a old one?

Thanks! Yeah, I have to say it was more the client's ideas, but now that I've done this one, I'm probably gonna end up doing more... I've got it in my look-book, so we'll see if more brides request this idea! As to the broach, I got it off etsy.com. http://www.etsy.com/listing/102840726/25-rhinestone-flower-jewelry-element I love buying as much of my supplies off there when I can't find local options... I'd rather support another individual than some massive chain or something.
