Soft worsted weight yarn in 6 oz. (170 g) skeins - 2 skeins of each color per set; and a size I (5.50 mm) crochet hook.
What was your inspiration?
I saw a neck warmer at department store that was much too expensive for a plain stockinette stitch item, and decided I could create something much more interesting for a lot less. I had so much fun making the neck warmers, I got carried away making the matching hats and wrist warmers.
What are you most proud of?
I especially love the look of the twisted neck warmer. I also like that I made the cap for the hat and the palm section for the wrist warmers double-thickness so everything is completely reversible.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
All of the items are crocheted in the round, when making the twisted neck warmer, follow the instructions for the yarn placement to prevent the yarn from getting knotted.
