Instructions

Generally followed the instructions given by the tutor but omitted the pocket on two of the bags.. Very easy to make and I think the results are very pleasing. Made a mistake when cutting out one of the bags (cut it 15in wide instead of 16in) but adjusted the rest of the pieces to make the bag. Still turned out well.

Materials

100% Cotton, generally quilting cotton. The red bag is made from Riley Blake cotton fabric.

What was your inspiration?

I love colour and bold patterns.

What are you most proud of?

I managed to finish something and then make even more. Biit of a feat for me!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If an absolute beginner I would suggest following the tutor's instructions exactly but once you understand what you are doing, don't be afraid to make changes to your bag. Using colours that don't normally go together can give dramatic results.
