What materials did you use? Scraps and some Thanksgiving and Christmas fabric

What are you most proud of? Finishing it (so many of us say that). I was upset that so many blocks did not match up and I really just had to fight to finish it. You know that feeling:-) This size (4 by 6) makes a perfect bed runner.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Practice, my next one will look nicer and will not be in holiday colors. I used scrap batting and corors from by scrap bag except for the focal fabrics.

It looks awesome even if it was a challenge to finish it. Did you quilt by the block?

Yes, the quilting is as you add the strips. You actually are making two quilts at same time. one on one side and another on the back. The sashing attaches blocks together. I know I am not explaining it well. When I added the binding, it was finished. Nothing else had to be done, it was quilted, sashed and bound. Next one will not be holoday colors, may just use my stash bag

Very clever. I always think of making a reversible table topper that is Christmas one side and another design for year round but I like this idea better... especially since those two holidays are back to back.
