What was your inspiration?

I love the bunting/garland trend that is all over blogland, so I decided to add one to my sewing machine cover rather than just tacking one up to the wall. It's more fun and unexpected.

What are you most proud of?

I am relatively new to sewing, but I made this project up from scratch and it worked out without a hitch.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be scared! You don't have to have a lot of sewing experience. It's a simple project. Just make sure to choose great fabrics/colors to maximize the visual impact. (And if you don't want a bunting, just skip that step. You'll still have a fabulous reversible cover!)

Ooo, I like it! I might make one for my sewing machine. I just sew a reversible batik apron, and I believe I can make something similar with it for my lovely sewing machine ;) Thanks for the idea.

I love this! My machine is in the dining room, so I could make it out of fabric to go with the room.

Very clever but I use my sewing machines so much it would be an aggravation to be covering and uncovering them all the time. I just leave them uncovered and I've never had a problem. Again, very clever though. Congratulations on your idea!!
