What advice would you give someone starting this project? Be creative. This is a great pattern and can be made in so many ways...each coat is different depending on your design choices. Don't be afraid of it because it is a coat - the pattern directions are wonderful. You'll be so glad you tried it.

Hi, I'm also interested in how you made it reversible--but I can't find a link anywhere to "the instructions section of the project detail" like you wrote to the other commenter. Could you clarify, please? Thanks so much. :)

Hi Legomum317, my apologies for such a late reply. I can't find the instructions anywhere either now, so quickly: I cut the pattern out of both fashion fabrics according to the pattern for the size I was making, I also cut out a lining in cotton flannel for the body of the coat only, not the sleeves. I then sewed all the pieces of each side of the coat according to the instructions, underlining one side of the coat with the flannel. Next, I sewed the two coat pieces right sides together, and turn them out. Basically everything goes exactly like the instructions however instead of a lining the 2nd fabric is the reverse side of the coat. To allow the coat to close from either side I sewed a buttonhole on both sides of the coat where instructed and I made a makeshift cufflink style button with 2 small button & elastic, that would fit through another, smaller buttonhole at the inner collar from either side. It's a very small change from the pattern instructions, but so much fun! HTH :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to post how you did it. I apologize I just saw your reply now! And still haven't made this coat. ;) Your instructions are very helpful!
