What materials did you use? Chenille upholstery fabric

What are you most proud of? I think it came out pretty well!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Oh, loads! My suggestions for the first-time reupholsterer: 1. Make sure the piece you want to reupholster is worth it. If the frame is wobbly, it's probably not a good candidate. 2. Start small - tackle an ottoman, or a simple chair first. 3. Aways buy more fabric than you need. That way if you have an "oops", you'll have extra fabric. Keep your eyes out for a good sale, too. I got this gorgeous chenille for $3 dollars a yard! 4. Buy a good quality upholstery fabric - a thin cotton won't hold up well under normal use. 5. Don't buy a stripe or a plaid for your first project unless you're very patient. Remember, you've got to match up the stripes and plaids for a professional look, and it also requires more material. 6. Make sure you've got the proper tools - a Fiskars rotary cutter, a good pair of scissors, a staple remover specifically designed for upholstering, and a long nose staple gun. My Gingher scissors went through four layers of this fabric like BUTTAH! 7. If you've got allergies, wear a dust mask when you're removing the old fabric - trust me. 8. Pay attention to how it was put together when you are taking it apart! Take lots of pictures, or even video. Remember, you're taking it apart in the reverse order that it was put together. 9. Don't panic! If you didn't get a staple in the right spot, just take it out and do it again. 10. Don't forget to replace the foam in the cushions if you need to - it can be expensive to replace it, so try and get it when it's on sale. 11. Most importantly - don't be afraid to start! Half the battle is overcoming your intial fear and getting started!

How about a class? This is lovely

I agree - please think about offering a class! My cat shredded the covers on my sofa and chairs. I'd love to have a go as it's more expensive to buy new covers than a new suite but I have sewing L plates and wouldn't know where to start. Yours is absolutely beautiful!

I was going to give away my sofa and loveseat; now I'm having second thoughts. I have done small projects before.
