Retro Chic Apron »

Instructions

This pattern is fun and easy and can be done in limitless fabric combinations.

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Casual, Funky, Whimsical, Romantic, Classic, Retro / Vintage, Cute, Mod

Materials

Cotton, thread, bias tape

What was your inspiration?

I'm a huge fan of anything red!

What are you most proud of?

I used a three-thread setting on my serger with decorative thread in the upper looper to create the apron tie. This is my favorite look...and it is sew fast!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This pattern calls for you to add rickrack to the hem. For this version, I used bias tape instead. It gives it a more classic look.

Thanks! I designed this pattern because I don't like how the ties pull on my neck.

Love the neck on this, looks so much more comfy than the pull string ones
