What was your inspiration?
The desire to give a retiring coworker a special gift. I did not have much time to do any piecing and the wording on the panel expressed the sentiments I wished to convey. So, although I had not done much free motion quilting, I decided to do so with this gift.
What are you most proud of?
My attempt at stippling.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't hesitate to use panels when you need to make a quick gift. Add a backing and binding. It will be much appreciated as it took more thought and time than buying something from a store.
