What was your inspiration?

This little doll was my personal "Santa" project for Christmas 2005. I rescued this beautiful doll from a yard sale. I made her the outfit she is wearing in these pictures including the hat and purse. The quilt was made especially for her from my scrap basket. I made her a flannel nightgown as well. It was hard to let her go, but hopefully, she is being well loved by the little girl in her new home. I also made her a nightie.

What are you most proud of?

This rescue doll project was the beginning of an annual tradition.

What a nice idea. I'm a little short on granddaughters (3 girls/8 boys) I may start looking for abandoned dolls.

Yes, they do. And the hair stays neat. I have a couple of more similar that I will cloth and give away someday.
