Learn Kaye England's precise piecing methods and make 12 traditional blocks, inspired by the stories of strong women of the Civil War era.
What materials did you use?
FINALLY FINISHED. Quiilted each block, stitched in the ditch around each block, then in the sashing free motion quilting. The binding was done on the machine with blind hemming.
Looks beautiful, love your piano key border. The sashing fabric is very effective and adds to your quilt.
thank you, this is for my daughter, and is most pleased with it, once I get the label put on the back, it will be hers. There has been a lot of blood, (from my pricked finger) sweat (from being under it when I quilt, as its toasty warm) and the tears will come when it leaves me. truly a labour of blood, sweat and tears, and loads of love.
Eventually I would like to take this class. I like the civil war quilts. And you did a fine job. I'm sure your daughter will love it.
