I cannot remember the name of this fabric but it is sort of a thicker silky fabric, not thin...it has body. Like a crepe.

What was your inspiration?

The creative juices are flowing and I love gathers and ruffles. What better way to experience these things that making renfaire costumes?

What are you most proud of?

The way the fabric flows. I cut it right with no short-cuts or mistakes and it flows so nicely.

I wanted to say that I took this class and without your help, I would have never been able to return to that machine to use it. You carefully explained about the upper and bottom looper and without having seen this class, I just would have had to return the machine. Since taking the class, I have used the machine quite a bit to make blankets and also to alter clothing. Your explanation was perfect and I sincerely appreciate your class and your manner of teaching. I hope to take another class with you. THANK YOU so much!!! You are a darling person, very sincere and caring.

Oooo! I can't wait to see the rest of the garments! I love that you're using your serger's capabilities to make it extra fancy. I think you could have a lot of fun with gold or silver metallic thread in your loopers- it'd be awesome!

I am experiencing a loose thread on the underside of the serger sewing and I am not sure which way to change the dial.

Could you post a photo of it along with an explanation of how you have your tensions set currently as a class question? I'll be able to help and answer you over there.

I also need to add the trim that goes in the center of the gathers. Please check back for the finished project pictures.

I am working on the skirt now so when it is done, I will have the two posted. Then the jacket and if I can find someone to model it...those pictures will be posted too.
