What was your inspiration?
I wanted a quilt that was fast to assemble and that used scraps. This quilt was made for the Comfort Quilts Quilting Bee by seven wonderful ladies and me. It was given to the secretary at my parents' church.
What are you most proud of?
I was worried about how the quilt would come together since the blocks were made from the stashes of eight different people. I decided to assemble the top without sashing or borders, quilted in the ditch, and added a red binding. I am so happy with how the quilt turned out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I wanted to keep the look of this quilt scrappy and to avoid using the same print in a block twice. It would also make a beautiful quilt using coordinated fabrics.
