What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make something in honor of the men and women who are serving our country. I decorate our church for the holidays and we hung this quilt from the front of our church for our 4th of July service.

What are you most proud of?

It did cause our members to" Remember" those who are serving, those who have already served our great country and those who served bravely but lost their lives. My brother was one lost his life for our country.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Start looking for your material for the star background. The material that was used was extremely difficult for me to find. I had to use a different print. If you have not done much applique it may be a challange for you. But it is well worth the challange. Go for it.
