Instructions

I had an old denim shirt that I wanted to repurpose. I also had a set of embroidered pillow cases.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to change the look of this shirt and this is what I came up with.

What are you most proud of?

I used the shirt in a fun new way. Also if you peruse my other projects you will see the other pillow case turned into a blessing/christening dress for my granddaughter.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is an easy way to change an old shirt. It is also something to do with any button down shirt. I have used men's shirts, and added ruffles, collar decor, as well as added matching fabric to the sleeves. This can be done to turn a man's or boys shirt into something for a woman or girl. Just add cute fabric and VOILA you have a new outfit.
You can also add a ruffle to the bottom of a boys t-shirt for a new girls shirt that might otherwise look too masculine.
