Religous Log Cabin

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Scrap Quilting »

Instructions

Comfort and warmth for my dear Cousin Sandy.

Category: Quilting

For: Women

Style: Traditional

Materials

Squares of Bible verses and blue cotton strips for logs

What was your inspiration?

Love for my family

What are you most proud of?

This is one of four and they all loved them. And!!!!! I got them all finished and mailed at a time when Sandy and her family needed support. Sandy's mom, My Aunt Ruby, had a stroke and is doing very good now. She is in theropy and getting better every day. Now, I am planning to make quilts for her sister Dianne who has MS.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just JUMP in and do it. I am no good at matching colors but I seem to get luck with the quilts comming out pretty anyway.

Beautiful design! I used this fabric to make zippered bags with one "fruit" on each side to hold nativity ornaments for our Sunday School teachers.

This is pretty! Are the words part of the print or are they stitched?

They are part of the print. Wish I could stitch like that. Thank you.

This is really pretty! It has a shadow box look to it. Just a personal question if you don't mind answering - I see you are from Texas - did you teach at RCS? I taught with a Linda Baker there in years past.
