I just complete my blanket after 1 year, I start blanket in dbl crochet and wheel started to look oblong and blanket getting very long, so swith to half dbl crochet. Ended up being 8 feet long and 4 feet wide added sides that said NHL HOCKEY on both side. Wish I would have done the whole thing in single crochet. I belong to a group called Knitting paradise, and I posted pic of my blanket. Everyone love it and wanted pattern. I posted your link so you maybe getting alot of request real soon :)

OMG!!! my boss is a huge detroit red wings fan.. she's pregnant.. i totally want to make her a jersey style blanket!!! i will be sending you an email for sure on how to do this.. i have been reading your posts but i am not familiar with this "paint" , resize terminology that you speak of! i'm creative not computer savvy!! haha! that is a fantastic blanket.. how big is it?? congrats on an amazing job well done!! :0)

I've always said there is no dumb question, the pattern is created by getting a picture that you like, go to paint, re-size to what you want to do, each square on the graph is a single crochet, you will have to 'fine-tune' the graph to show the picture, then 'print screen' button, print using word pad, I usually have 2 pages to tape together for width, 3-4 pages long, if any questions contact me lsgerzetich@yahoo.com or facebook

As I have stated, I got picture of Red Wings, put it on Paint, resize to make, cleaned it up, each square makes a single crochet I make each blanket according to what people want at that time I'm very willing to share patterns or techniques

That is fantastic. I'm an avid Detroit Red Wing fan & have been since the '50's. I do have a question though. You said you sell them. Did you get licensed to use the Detroit Red Wing logo to make & sell them? My husband does woodworking and makes threadholders for crochet & crossstitch. He was going to make one using the Detroit Red Wing logo. I called their corporate office and asked about copyright laws to make it. They told me that I could use the logo to make something but only for personal use and it is illegal to sell anything with their logo on it unless permission is granted by the Detroit Red Wings. Just a heads up in case you were unaware.
