What was your inspiration?
My grandma had made an afghan and pillow out of the waffle stitch and I liked the texture of it. I wanted to make a scarf with some yarn I had hanging around and thought this would work
What are you most proud of?
It is very soft and flexible - and doesn't the lampshade make a beautiful model? (ya work with what ya have)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
All you need to do for this pattern is chain the length you want (multiples of 4) and use the waffle stitch pattern. Mine is 4' in length and will have fringe on the ends when I buy some more yarn.
