I constructed the base card from cranberry red cardstock and scored it at the top so that my embossed tree Christmas card opens vertically from the bottom. For the Christmas scene on the front of my card I stamped the snow covered evergreens with acrylic paint on white cardstock and then blended a light pink ink followed by a cranberry red ink over the entire surface. I matted the completed scene with pale pink cardstock.
To add a little glitz to the front panel of my Christmas card I adorned it with a shimmering organdy ribbon. As a finishing touch I embossed the words "JOY" & "NOEL" in gold on ornament shaped tags created from cranberry red and pale pink cardstocks. I attached them to the front card panel with a bow.
For the inside card panel I printed "Happy Holidays" on white cardstock in cranberry red colored ink. I matted the panel with pale pink cardstock and decorated it with a layered strips of cranberry red and pale pink cardstocks.
I made the envelope from heavy cover stock and decorated the lower left corned to coordinate with my Christmas Card.
