this began as a "paper piecing" pattern, I am going to make adjustments on my border. Originally Judy Niemeyer's pattern has a "fence" around the edge. I will not have that, as I do not want to "contain" the sun. Instead I plan to put some wisps of red going outward. I have a friend who has made "Judy Niemeyer" patterned quilts before, and I love hers !
What are you most proud of?
Using red fabrics from my stash. Starting with someone's pattern and making the final project my own.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Jump in ! Judy's paper pieces included in her patterns make it easy to sew on the lines and make her quilts.
