What was your inspiration?
I saw Christina Hendricks wear a very similar dress on Mad Men. When I found this pattern, it screamed Joan.
What are you most proud of?
This was the first time I've ever sewn a sheath dress. I was a little nervous, so I made a muslin first and did a lot of pattern alterations along the way. I learned so much about altering patterns for fit from this project.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Make a muslin first. This is a style that will look most flattering if it fits you well. Great for girls with curves!
