Instructions

This pattern and ones like it are for sale on the link given. I am not sure that the fabrics are available any longer but Ricky Tims has lots of wild fabric that can be used or find your own wild colors, black window pane fabric and get going.....it was worth the effort! Patterns ran around $9.00 last I checked.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Outdoorsy, Cute, Whimsical

Materials

I used Ricky Timms fabrics and a pattern from the internet but I forgot what it is. If I remember I will place that pattern on the page. This is a difficult pattern and took many hours to cut and sew as it was curvy. The window pane work was tricky and each block had to be matched perfectly or look icky.

What was your inspiration?

http://www.quilterswarehouse.com/m-177-prairie-sky-quilting.aspx
This is the web site that I saw the quilt and then I found the Ricky Tims fabric on line too and bought it all to make the small wall hanging. It is owned by my daughter Amy who lives and works in WA ST.

What are you most proud of?

That I was able to make this in time for her birthday and that the pieces matched. It was a very hard quilt to make and expensive to have quilted on a long arm. It is done in a floral design and can be seen on the photos.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go to the Jazzy Jewels web site and find one that suits you. This particular pattern isn't for sale but there are plenty. Ricky Tims fabric is for sale on his web site or others. Just search his name and find some of his wildly floral fabrics. They are about $11.00 a yd.
