What was your inspiration?
Really, the inspiration behind this skirt was my sister, who also happened to be the recipient. She likes bright, bold colors and this red floral, which was found at a yard sale last year, was "hers" from day one.
What are you most proud of?
I altered the sewing pattern intensely. The simple fact that they all came out to be successes is what I'm most proud of!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you are approaching a similar skirt project like this one, just keep in the back of your mind: skirts are easy. Fitting an a-line skirt is probably the simplest thing to do! Just go for it!
