What are you most proud of? Finally finishing the quilt. I broke my wrist last year just as the quilt was about 4 ft square, then had to rest in between stitching sessions due to the strain on my wrist.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? It doesn't matter how long it takes to make anything.

Beautiful! I began mine several years ago. Been wondering how to add borders. I have all the pieces cut out and a queen size is about half complete. Your quilt has inspired me to work on mine again.

So glad to hear that I'm not the only one that has taken a long time to make one. Started mine five years ago, stopped during brothers battle with cancer, picked it back up till I started taking care of my mother and after her death picked it back up. Just finished it and even though it was my wedding gift for a niece it will now be given to her next month for her 34th birthday. Love the boarder you put on yours. If she wants it bigger then I will try that latter.

With the cathedral window quilt not normally needing any batting or backing, how did you add the borders and finish the quilt? I love the look!
