What was your inspiration?

The Red Scarf Project is associated with Foster Care to Success and aims to provide foster children heading to college encouragement. I created this scarf pattern with that program in mind (and donated the scarf when it was finished).

What are you most proud of?

That I've finally figured out ripple patterns. Writing this pattern gave me a better understanding of how to adjust for ripples in the future.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Donate a scarf to a worthwhile cause (local homeless shelter, schools, Red Scarf Project, Scarves for Special Olympics), there is something so special about making for others.

Thank you Joyce for sharing your pattern. I haven't crocheted ripple yet and this will be a great starter. I make scarves for Special Olympics and I'm thinking of using this pattern for one and I will consider your request for the Red Scarf Project.

Oh, even if you just use this pattern to donate to the Special Olympics....my point was simply pay it forward in some way! I hope this works out for you, ripples were such a struggle for me at first
