What was your inspiration?

I wanted to try my hand at making my own design with curved piecing, using Ruth McDowell's freezer paper method, and a coffee cosy was a nice small project.

What are you most proud of?

This coffee cosy is a much better fit than the first one, although it's hard to tell from the photo as that was taken when I was still putting it together.

I really like the way the four fabrics balanced in this piece.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have the cafetiere with you to check the piece against, as they do vary in size and shape.

If you have not bound something with a non-90 degree angle before, look up instructions on the internet, as it's not too difficult.

You will need to be comfortable with fairly small curved piecing for this project.
