What materials did you use? The drive was plain old boring tarmac that was in very very poor condition and a project we just couldnt afford to replace so we decided to cover the tarmac with gravel, ( thousands of pounds cheaper by far) which once laid unfortunately looked just as boring, so we thought again and decided to improvise. We used anything and everything that we'd had lying about in the garden / garage / sheds / wood for years, so everything is recycled except for the gravel. the shrubs were dug up from various places in the garden, roof slates spare from extension, we couldn't bare to part with the old cast iron bath so made use of that and the left over tiles from the bathroom we covered an old coffee table with, all the flags were from an old patio, the yard gate, was an old fire door, we just stained it, cut out circles on some old spare wood, to make plaques and made some plaster of paris gargoles we superglued on, the arch made from left over wood in the garage, even the odd broken slabs around the bird bath were just thrown in a pile in the wood

What are you most proud of? the fact that every single brick used I saved from the existing house when we had an extension built and all the bricks are from the knock through to make door ways into the existing house

What advice would you give someone starting this project? just plan the basics on paper first - the rest falls into place once you get going
