Yarn recycled from a thrift shop sweater

What was your inspiration?

I saw a project on facebook where someone found a sweater at the thrift shop and was pulling it apart to create a new project. I finally found a short sleeve sweater that I thought would work and liked the yarn so I bought it and pulled it apart to create this scarf.

What are you most proud of?

I left the yarn in the color order of the sweater and I really like how the stripes work in this piece. I hadn't ever knit with single ply cobweb weight yarn before, so I really had to watch my work!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This definitely takes some extra effort, but if you find a sweater worth pulling apart for a new project its a fun experiment.
