What materials did you use? 2 cotton t-shirts from an opp-shop (they cost me $1.50 for both - whoo hoo), elastic, thread, patience.

What are you most proud of? The fact that it actually worked out really well :) I also like a pocket. Without it the dress looked more like a nighty. This is such a cheap dress, I will not have a heart attack if my LM goes to play with water, then jumps in her sand pit and then goes and rolls in the grass.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Knits are not actually too scary, but they do require a bit more attention. Ball point needle was a great investment. And I believe practise makes perfect :)

Very cute - I have yet to venture into the world of stretch fabric - one day..... that's a great idea to use old t-shirts to practice with - thanks!!

Spotlight had 100% cotton knit fabric on sale the other day - gorgeous super deep purple - for only $1 a meter!!! Needless to say I have a lot of new knit fabric to practice on now ;)

Your adorable "Little Monkey" is very fortunate to have such a loving and creative Mommy. Your cute photos make it even more fun to view your handiwork.
