Instructions

The librarian at my school has to clean out old books and I hate to see those beautiful old covers go to waste!

So I cut out the pages (which leaves me the pages to use on other projects) and repurpose the covers. All they need is a little T.L.C.!

an old book, paints, scrapbook supplies, chipboard, some cardboard "trash" that makes a good stamp (white paint), screen mesh (from a window, a brad, gel medium, rings (for binding), various punches.

What was your inspiration?

old books being thrown out by my school's librarian... the texture of the fabric & the colors are so beautiful

What are you most proud of?

resurrecting old books and giving them a new purpose

Another project for hard covered books about to be thrown away....remove the pages and make 'sides' so that you create a box. The front cover works wonderfully as a hinged lip and the back cover makes a srudy bottom. I've covered mine in fabric and paper, both have produced some great results.
