Oops to equal 4" and the loop row were too big so I relaxed my tension with the size c hook and used a #17 instead of #19 knitting needle to get the right gauge. The #50 seems to be OK. Have fun!

Lost the first part of my answer which said thanks and that my first swatch did not match the gauge. I had 22 stitches per inch and the loop rows were too big.

Yes I am, I just got stalled making little hats for my soon to be granddaughter! But now I'm motivated again to work on it! :)
