What was your inspiration?

I had started with The Girl with a Pearl Earring but make too many mistakes I didn't like so used it for practice and used this preschool picture of my granddaughter that i have always loved.

That's so cute - love it! It looks as though Prismacolor pencils may be the ones to use - I've just looked them up on the internet and, happily, they're available in the UK. I can't wait to get started on something, you're firing up my enthusiasm so much, but simply MUST finish my current UFO first!

Glad I am encouraging you. The pencils do work great but on another project I did use a Shiva Paintstik when I wanted a bright color.

I love it. Your stitches in the background gives the quilt lots of movement. Your coloring is great and the eyes are just beautiful.

Thank you, Losls. I used a drop of white fabric paint for the eyes but wanted to make it look more like she is looking up as in the picture..

The picture is exactly how she responded to strangers at that age.She is 15 now and how times have changed.

How exciting. I just started the class and am getting some supplies today. I have so so many projects in front of this new one, but it seems like a lot of fun and can't wait to try it!
