What was your inspiration?

When Simplicity released this pattern, I knew it would be a hit with my 3 year old.

What are you most proud of?

How much she loves it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Baste!! Baste everything! I'm not usually a big baster, but with fabric this slippery and with this many layers, it is essential.

Just lovely. I love sewing for children, and have done several 'princess' dresses for friends' little girls. I agree with the basting!!!! I also learned NOT to purchase 'costume' fabrics. Always better to pay a little more for good satin and 'fancy fabrics' and leave the 'costume fabrics' for those who aren't too fussy about how the finished project looks. Great job, great color choices!!

Thank you! I hope this one gets a lot of wear - that cheap satin doesn't hold up well at all, does it?!
