What was your inspiration?
My inspiration is usually my environment, my heart and my head. The beauty of nature around me seeps into almost every creative endeavor.
What are you most proud of?
Probably the transitions of each pattern into the next. The small leaf pattern is one I made up, the leaf edges are slightly raised and every leaf is outlined with purl stitches so the leaves aren't just 'flat'. I also made up the border .
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
There's some wrong-side row patterning which is simple but could get confusing if you aren't using stitch markers between motifs.
tip: When working back on wrong side rows, take note where yo's should be on the previous row and count as you work back across each motif repeat. Yarnovers can be sneaky and try to trade places with a neighboring stitch!
