What was your inspiration?

This is my first real attempt at a proper party cake. I threw a rainbow themed birthday party for my beautiful 3 and 1 year old daughters so I scoured the internet for rainbow cakes - this end result was a combination of ideas.

What are you most proud of?

I'm really happy with how it turned out.. It looked great with all the other rainbow food and decorations and the kids loved it. Tasted great also which helps!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's not exactly as I had planned and I ran out of time probably trying to do too much with all the other food so I guess plan ahead, make the rainbow well in advance so it has time to dry and always have a few spare flowers or other decorations like butterflies on hand to get you out of trouble if you run out of time. I couldn't find cloud cutters so I just squashed down a set of metal flower cutters a little which I think worked out well.
