What was your inspiration?
When I saw this pattern I knew it was perfect for creating a special memory for my first grandson's first Easter. He has since grown to love it and and often chooses "Rainbow Bunny" as one of his "guys" to sleep with at bedtime.
What are you most proud of?
I downsized the original pattern, without losing any of its charming design, to make a smaller version that can be hugged and played with. I also made him younger kid friendly using all yarn - no buttons, or plastic eyes.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
When purchasing the yarn buy extra (which you may return if unused) and make sure each skein is from the same run. Check your guage for an even stitch that neither puckers nor stretches. Change to a larger or smaller hook as needed. Have fun!
