What was your inspiration?
I was inspired by a stock photo I saw online as part of my day job - it was of a woman's arms and she was wearing a rainbow sweater and knitting that sweater as she wore it. I wanted some arm warmers to mimic the sleeves on that sweater, so I spun some roving up and knit these mitts! Once they were finished they reminded me of "Rainbow Brite" so I sort of incorporated that, too.
What are you most proud of?
I had a hand in every aspect of this project. I dyed the roving, spun the yarn, designed the pattern and knit the mitts. It's the first time I've been THAT involved in one project!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just grab some yarn and a set of needles to go with it; you don't have to be a super experienced knitter to rock this pattern.
