What materials did you use? Cotton Fabric

What are you most proud of? I like the color combination, and most [not all] of the points aligned perfectly. I also feel my quilting works well. I was able to sew straight lines that matched up with the points almost perfectly - not an easy thing to do for me!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just choose your favorite colors, and cut and sew carefully so all the points line up. Have patience and perseverence. I had to rip seams a few times to get the points and edges to line up and still had a few that were beyond repair due to small seam allowances. Grrrr!!! I repeat, cut carefully, and sew carefully.

It sounds like yours will be eye catching, bright, and clean. Turquoise and white, very Mediterranean! Please do share your version on Craftsy when you are done, I would love to see it.

is there a pattern for this beautiful quilt. Thanks Sarah

Hi, Sarah. There is no "pattern" to speak of, I made a traditional bear paw, finishing at 12 inches. The sashing is 4 inches wide, with the black cornerstones also being 4 inch squares. The trick I think, is in the colors for the bear paws and the layout ofthe blocks. I simply faced the paws away from the center, and broke up the white background with the black cornerstones. The little color blocks in the corners were because I had leftover fabric and didn't want it to go to waste. Hope my explanation helps you.
