What needles did you use? US 2 / 2.75 mm / UK 12

What materials did you use? Left-over Noro sock yarn, dyed stone beads, 'blingy' magnetic clasp.

What are you most proud of? That I found matching stones for spacers and actually finished the project. Oh, and I finally learnt how to graft!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't go too fast if you are new to this... Keeping an even tension became easier with every bead 'coat', and the stitches became more even. The next project will include beads...

I wanted to make something right then and there with the material I got... just for exercise... Just in the first few lessons I already learnt so much and even though I did not use beads yet, it was sure fun to learn how to make bead 'coats'...

Ooooooooh!!! LOVE this! What a great example of individual creativity. Taking simple but beautiful materials that you have on hand and then using the various techniques of the class to highlight what makes those materials special and unique. And don't get me started on the incredible use of the color-matched spacer beads. Perfection. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful work.
