What was your inspiration?

I was so afraid all my plants would rot with so much rain. It's rained every day for a week and still more coming. I did try covering them with a really big sheet of heavy plastic but then it's so hard to take off and when it's wet you can't put it away. So thus umbrellas. At least it keeps off the heavy downpours. Plus I have some cherry tomatoes and don't want them to die on me. At least I'm finally using all the umbrellas I had in my umbrella stand.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have a lot of umbrellas. LOL
